Hot Spring

Conclusions can be drawn from the above diagram:
The Quaternary sedimentary deposits consist of gravel and sand approximately 410 meters thick (forming a thick, permeable layer).
The area from 410 to 900 meter is the original sedimentary bedrock layer (which is a permeable layer).
The 900 to 1500 meter range consists of quartzite layers formed by volcanic intrusion (which are impermeable).
There is water and an aquifer at a depth of 900 meters or more around the hot spring well.
The temperature at a depth of 900 meters is approximately 43 °C.
The temperature at a depth of 1500 meters is approximately 62 °C.
The area’s geology is reflected in the flow rate and temperature of its artificial hot springs. Although the wells reach 1,500 meters, water is pumped from 900 meters, yielding temperatures of only ~40 °C rather than the expected 60 °C of deeper strata. This is because no groundwater exists below 900 meters, limiting circulation and heating from greater depths.
